 This is my design on adobe illustrator, showing the drawing plan and the finished laser cut piece.

12 Project

These are images of the work  I produced for the 'Defined by Light' project. I photographed them against a black background to emphasise the structure and shape of the objects. The aim is that plants will be grown within these and they will grow around the structure towards a light source so the resulting form is literally defined by light. There would also be a range of sizes and they can be placed inside or out. 

This is a model of one of the pieces made on SketchUp. 

12 project - Light Emmie Tomlinson

This is a light i created simply from paper cutting. I designed this light so that it would be visually attractive, yet act as a reflection that would create a great ambiance to a room.

12 project - bus shelter

This is the product of my 'defined by light' project, and is a bus shelter which has the ability to light up various colours along its edges for different scenarios. The green sections would be the lit areas, and when not notifying users of the arrival of a vehicle, would glow white to provide lighting to the shelter.  

12 Project

This is a design in Google SketchUp that is based on the work that I did in my 'Defined by Light' project. The idea is that the sun catches on the mirror and projects a sign onto the building. I was going to add writing (for the projected sign) but I'm not even sure you can do that in SketchUp?

I try to use google sketchup to create my version of the iconic lotus bicycle

However, this is my best attempt
as the lotus has a very complicated body, so I was trying to achieve this by creating a retangle shape and then using lines and arc tool to cut into it. And the use push/pull tool to form its body.

However, the plan did not work. as the push pull tool only create a 3D surface when it forms a surface which the body i draw did not. And i could not work out which bit goes wrong.

therefore this is my best attempt and it still has the retangle shape with it.

If anyone knows how to possibly fix the problem....please inform me.
