Image enhancing for 12 Project

This was my final maquette for the luminary object I designed for the recent Chindogu project. On photo enhancing software, I played around with colour boost and fade. I also wanted to make the lines finer to look more defined, so increased the photos sharpness. To make background much darker and increase the brightness of the light, I changed the contrast and temperature too.

Connor Coulston, 12 Project.

A few images of my work enhanced through computer based technology.

As this was a piece of work that explored how luminary objects could be created, I tried to enhance the piece by adding a mood quality by experimenting with colour, saturation and temperature of the image.
Likewise with the image above, I find this image not to be as harsh. It's have a more tranquil effect.

This piece of work acts as a future piece of public art. So I tried to give the object in the image, more definition. To make it stand out like it would do if it was a piece of public art.

A close up of the image above. I tried to capture the detail of the image, to give sense to the chaotic nature I tried to implement on this piece of work.

EXTENSION OF THE BODY

FIRST EXPERIMENTS WITH MATCHES (STRUCTURE)

Harriett's first blog

This is an experimental piece that I created whilst in the process of developing the luminary object we were asked to produce in the Chindogu project. A colander was my chosen object, and I somehow developed my ideas onto lanterns and recreating the shape of a paper lantern. I used wire and tissue paper in an attempt to re-create a similar shape.
